October 24-25, the semi-finals and finals of 2015 National English Public Speaking Contest in Liaoning ended at Liaoning University. Our university once again won the award for the best organization, Wang Xiaoyue won the third prize and Jia Hongyu won excellent achievement prize, their instructors were Wu Minghai and Liu Yanhong respectively.

Compared with previous years, the competition system changed a lot, which requires participants quickly answer multiple choice questions about comprehensive knowledge, in order to examine the players’ knowledge and practical abilities in English.

This contest is organised jointly by the Department of Finance and Education of Liaoning province, as one of the college students' innovative competition projects in Liaoning province. From the preliminary selection to the training, great supports were offered by the leaders, aiming at enhancing the awareness of innovation and practical ability, and further improving the English practical ability of college students in our University.
